Work started on the foundations for our new 5 Star luxury self catering 5 bedroomed house in January 2012. We are taking booking from August 2012 but it may be ready by the beginning of July.

Halloween at Airhouses

Lots to do in the Scottish Borders for Halloween. Floors Castle has a special Halloween Tour followed by dinner at the Terrace Cafe. Traquair House has one hour ghostly tours on the Friday and Saturday evening of the 28th and 29th October. Anyone staying at airhouses on the last weekend in October will receive a special Halloween gift!

The Lodge at Airhouses has just had a lovely new hot tub installed. This is an Artic Spa Hot tub and seats up to 6 people so plenty of room for just 2!

Luxurious Boutique Bedding at Airhouses

Visiting Scotland wouldn’t be complete without a Visit to a Distillery

Close to Airhouses there is the Glenkinchie Distillery at Pencaitland. There are a number of different tours, all involving a taste or a wee dram!

This distillery is situated on farmland and set in a small valley on the Kinchie Burn (Burn being the Scottish word for Stream). This runs down from the Lammermuir Hills and helps to produce the classic lowland malts.

Children at Airhouses

Children are welcome at Airhouses and there is so much for them to do. In addition to feeding the pigs; talking to the ponies, admiring the alpacas, there is now a special Puzzle Trail which finishes with an exciting Word Search competition. Shaun the Sheep packs are also available as well as lots of Board Games for the odd rainy day! There are special picnic places to find too or why not build a den?

The ponies love Polo Mints, Apples and Carrots and well as just fresh grass

New Hot Tub arrives at Airhouses for the Buchanan

A brand new 7 to 9 seater Hot Tub is now in place at the Buchanan Lodge at Airhouses. This is quite a bit bigger than the previous Hot Tub and has lots of exciting jets etc.
